Swedish converter StrongPoint Labels has invested in a Nilpeter FA-17, the first press from the Danish manufacturer, to add capacity and expand its offering in line with a strategic long-term growth plan.

StrongPoint Labels has invested in a Nilpeter FA-17

StrongPoint Labels produces a wide range of labels for various industries and applications, such as food and beverage, health and beauty, chemical products, and manufacturing.

The new investment is an 8-color Nilpeter FA-17 flexo press with screen, cold foil, and multi-layer label capabilities. The installation is expected to take place in the spring of 2021.

‘This is our first Nilpeter press. We’ve obviously known it for many years, but started discussing this project in the summer of 2020,’ commented Leif Persson, senior vice president, and managing director at StrongPoint Labels. ‘Once installed, we’ll be focusing on pressure-sensitive labels, and we have great confidence that the press will perform as promised.

‘We are very happy to work with Nilpeter. Its experience and knowledge will help us improve, and the short 90-minute drive to Slagelse is a great, added bonus. Covid-19 obviously changed and slowed down the process, but we have still been able to meet under current restrictions, and we feel very safe. Hopefully, this investment will lift our business so we will have demand for new equipment in the near future.’

‘We are very proud to partner with StrongPoint Labels, a highly significant company in the graphic industry and in security printing in Scandinavia. We look forward to a long and constructive partnership,’ added Jesper Jørgensen, global sales manager at Nilpeter.
