US manufacturer of flexible packaging, pouches and cartons CastlePierce Printing has installed a central impression flexo press and film poucher. The new equipment will be production ready in 2022 and adds to its print and converting capabilities for small to medium quantity film and paperboard packaging.

Tom Castle, fifth-generation CEO of CastlePierce said: ‘The new CI press and pouch converter allows us to improve our already industry-leading turn-times, capacity and quality. It demonstrates our commitment to our customers' need for customized solutions delivered with schedule flexibility, short to medium production runs and excellence in print.’

‘The Central Impression (CI) flexo press features quick turn low touch efficient makeready, lowest cost per impression, increased size to accommodate larger packages, brilliant 10-color print registration and ink output, increased production speeds with print stabilization and significantly reduced energy and solvent consumption,’ the company said.

The pouch converting machine comes with 240 CPM servo pouching and quality control, print registration for all sides, inline standing pouch and zipper high strength seal units and custom sizing including corner and bottom gusset sealing. It can convert most film varieties including food grade and daily goods pouches.

Not only can we deliver this in spades, but with these new installations, our craftsman can do it with increased efficiency, improved lead times, continued quality focus and with the newest technology and safety.
