First Impression Labels invests in digital production with Screen and Rotocon equipment

First Impression Labels, a South African label printer and converter, has made a double investment in digital production through Rotocon, with a Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ UV inkjet label press and Rotocon Ecoline RDF-330 for converting and finishing added to its equipment portfolio.

The Screen Truepress L350UV+ has a production speed of 60m/min, and was one of two new UV inkjet label presses launched by Screen at Labelexpo Europe 2017. The Rotocon Ecoline RDF-330 provides servo-driven digital label converting and finishing. For First Impression Labels, the machine features a rotary flexo print unit, cold foil/lamination unit and a die-cutting station that can be used in semi- or full-rotary mode.

Vaughan Cumming, First Impression Labels owner and operations director, commented: ‘For many years, First Impression Labels has turned to Rotocon as a trusted and resourceful partner for our technology investments in label printing and converting.

‘We embraced digital label production four years ago with the continent's very first Screen Truepress Jet press, and haven't looked back.’

First Impression Labels also specializes in high-quality, flexographic printing for shrink sleeves, and wraparound, roll-fed and self-adhesive labels.
