Goldcoin Angel CPP Film is a part of the Goldcoin Group founded by Ashvin Pansuria and Ramesh Tilara in 2005. The group manufactures a range of products in protective packaging and insulation that is ISO 9001:2000 and HVAC certified. With a workforce of over 1000, the company has five manufacturing facilities, three fabrication units, two trading houses and a marketing office.

Goldcoin Angel is a joint venture with Thailand-based Angel Products Company to produce 10,000 metric tons per annum of flexible films for food packaging.

In a recent quality enhancement move, it has installed Vetaphone Corona Treater on its production line in Rajkot. With a working width of 2200mm, the system is designed to run at 300 meters per minute.

According to Weldon, Corona treatment increases the surface energy of plastic films, foils and paper to improve wettability and adhesion of inks, coatings and adhesives. Polymer films have chemically inert and non-porous surfaces with low surface tensions making them non-receptive to bonding with substrates, printing inks, coatings, and adhesives. Corona treatment ensures long-lasting quality print.

Commenting on the installation, Bhavesh Tilara, director of Goldcoin Angel CPP Films, said: ‘At Goldcoin, to deliver the ultimate quality we invest in the best available equipment globally. Vetaphone being the inventors of Corona treatment has been delivering quality treaters to renowned OEMs around the world, it was natural to prefer this state of art treater that would enhance the quality of our films and an advantage for our customers.’

Kanwardeep Sahni, managing director of Weldon, said: ‘Goldcoin is a fast growing group and for them to opt for Vetaphone was natural exercise opting for the universally acclaimed product that would enhance the print quality of their films delivering additional value to their customers.’
