Grupo Lappí has recently invested in productivity and improvements to its technology by purchasing the popular offset UV semi-rotary MLP press from Miyakoshi offering. It is designed to cater for market niches in particular and will allow Gruppo Lappí to efficiently convert short runs with strict quality requirements. The new equipment is also expected to bring advanced offset technology, productivity, performance and a robust construction to the company’s plant and increase its competitiveness in the region.

The group’s growth strategy has also resulted with the recent acquisition of Gráficas Calipolense, one of the largest converters in Portugal, focusing on the food sector. With this acquisition, Grupo Lappí Etiquetas now has four plants on the Iberian Peninsula, two in Portugal and two in Spain currently employing more than 250 employees.

Due to earlier acquisitions the company has reinforced its presence beyond Europe and the Americas to African courtiers such as Angola, Cape Verde, Mozambique, Benin and Santo Tomé and Príncipe.
