Indonesian printer acquires Comexi press and laminator

Indonesian flexible packaging manufacturer, Prima Jaya Eratama, has bought a Comexi F4 press and a Comexi ML1 MC laminator, that have been installed at its facilities in Tangerang.

Tjen Fa Sen, owner of Prima Jaya Eratama, said: ‘Customer satisfaction is very important to us, therefore a machine’s capability in terms of technology and output in a manufacturing company, is vital. Presently, Prima Jaya Eratama relies on Comexi’s competence and will continue to do so. The 24 hours customer service by Comexi is also very valuable. More importantly, Comexi has expanded to South East Asia and technical help will give more prestige to our company.’ The relation between both companies dates back to April 2012 when the Indonesian converter purchased its first Comexi slitter.

Currently, the Indonesian company has two Comexi laminators, two Comexi flexo printing presses with the Laser Clean Roller (LCR), and two Comexi slitters, installed in its production plant. With the recent acquisition of the Comexi F4 printing press, Prima Jaya Eratama has optimised the customer’s need to do short runs. The purchase of the Comexi ML1 MC laminator allows for the structure realization of three layers, heat seal, coatings at register as matt or gloss varnishes, as well as the possibility of laminating without solvents.

Established in 1994, to produce polybags and shopping bags, Prima Jaya Eratama entered the flexible packaging industry in 1998 and now operates with a staff of over 500. The company has two plants located in Kosambi Barat, Tangerang, where it produces flexible packaging materials that caters to a comprehensive range of applications, both in the food and non-food areas.
