Lemur Labels opts for Screen’s L350UV+ press

Manchester, UK-based converter Lemur Labels has installed Screen Truepress Jet L350UV+ digital press to cater for the growing number of short-run and variable data jobs within the food supplements and health markets.

Lemur Labels is the digital arm of A&E Supplies, a respected Manchester-based family-owned printing company, with over 30 years of experience in the labelling industry. Its young management team recently invested in automation, building a smooth production line to ensure faster processing and delivery of print jobs.

The new press enables Lemur to print full-color labels with small print often used on the packaging of supplements and proteins. Screen’s newest addition to its inkjet label print series also helps the converter to meet growing demand for hand sanitizer as it ramped up its activities during the coronavirus crisis.

‘The L350UV+ provides excellent print quality, with good blacks and solid colors. Its fine droplets ensure we’re able to print instructions in small print without any blurring, a requirement for many industries we supply, including the vape and e-liquid markets,’ commented Alex Hurford, director of Lemur Labels.

Lemur Labels is the latest addition to Screen Europe’s customer base in the UK, a market that the company sees as growing steadily in the process of switching to digital printing.
