Scottish converter NSD Labels has installed a fully specified A B Graphic International (ABG) Digicon Series 3 finishing machine to replace and upgrade the existing older model at its Edinburgh production site.

NSD Labels, formed from one of Scotland’s longest established print businesses, specializes in digital and full-color UV flexo combination printing, including UV screen with in-line foiling and embossing. The company also produces s high-end, unique, and complex labels for local and global companies in the food, beverage, healthcare, medical and chemical sectors.

NSD’s new Digicon Series 3 has been configured to meet its exacting production requirements. The machine includes two flexo heads, a 25-tonne flatbed hot foil unit with a swivel head allowing foil to be fed both along and across the web, a doming embossing section, two laminating stations, two flatbed screen printing modules providing quality screen varnish, unwind, and rewind, die-cutting and auto slit knives.
