ProScan opens 25,000 sqft Orlando facility
Label manufacturer adds linerless converting and variable data printing in US expansion.
ProScan Media Products has opened a 25,000 sqft production facility in Orlando, Florida, expanding the company to three facilities and 12 presses, with three additional presses scheduled for installation to support further growth across North America.
The Orlando facility introduces two new production capabilities. A Domino K600i digital UV inkjet printhead provides 600 DPI variable data printing for sequential and random numbering, barcodes, QR codes and variable images without static plates.
An Omega 540 linerless converting line integrates flexographic printing, UV silicone coating, hot melt adhesive coating, precision die-cutting, slitting and rewinding in a single platform, eliminating release liner to reduce material waste.
ProScan has also launched a value line of competitively priced label formats stocked at the Orlando facility for immediate shipment.
'This expansion allows us to better serve customers throughout the US with faster lead times, increased production capacity, and expanded capabilities in variable data and linerless labeling,' said James Carr, owner and CEO of ProScan Media Products.
