Sai Com Codes invests in two Rotoflex in one year

Flexo Image Graphics (FIG), an exclusive distributor of Rotoflex machines in the Indian sub-continent, has installed two Rotoflex VSI330 slitter inspection rewinders at Sai Com Codes Flexoprint within a year.

While the first investment in a Rotoflex VSI 330 slitting rewinding machine was made in June 2015, the company installed the second in April 2016

‘We chose Rotoflex mainly for its quality and superior post sales service from FIG,’ commented Sai Com Codes Flexoprint CEO Harish Gupta.

These machines come with eDrive functionality and are powered by the Universal Rotoflex Control 2 (URC) control system. This system is designed for the operator with simple menus and an intuitive interface. Operators can monitor all functions from a single screen. Job related details can be stored and easily recalled for repeat runs. The system recognizes a wide range of materials, including clear labels. It also features advanced missing matrix and label detection (MMLD), and fault placement with the ability to accurately count multiple lanes of non-standard label shapes and lengths.

With the URC 2 control system, Sai Com Codes also gets priority to add an additional enhancement at any time for implementation of biometric recognition. Operators, production supervisors and technicians can bypass usernames and passwords by logging into the equipment using their fingerprint. Updating the system by adding or deleting users is simple and when used in conjunction with the Rotoflex’s exclusive Report Management System (RMS), tracking performance by shift or operator is convenient.

Gourav Roy, managing director at FIG, said, ‘We are excited to offer this high-value inspection system to Sai Com Codes Flexoprint. I am sure with the features and comfort Sai Comcodes Flexoprint should be able to deliver high quality with 100 percent accuracy and efficiency in this competitive market.’

Sai com Codes Flexoprint is expanding its footprint to another region in the country and expects to inaugurate a new factory by September this year, which Gupta said will cater to rising demand in the region. The new plant will house a Rotoflex machine and a narrow web flexo press.

Spread over an area covering 20,000 sq ft in Sonepat, the existing plant houses Nilpeter presses. Growing at 35 to 40 percent year-on-year, the company mainly caters to the domestic market with only two percent of its turnover being contributed by exports to Africa and the Indian sub-continent. Sai Com Codes caters to FMCG, chemical, liquor and food industries amongst others.
