SpectraGraphics installs third Prati Saturn

SpectraGraphics specializes in flexo printing of prime films, foils, and papers, as well as thermal and specialty materials. Amongst the market sectors it supplies are the food, beverage, household segments, and coupon labels.

With two Prati high-speed slitter inspection rewinders already installed and running in the company, SpectraGraphics opted for a third Saturn with Futura technology and featuring FastCut, the automatic knife and counter-knife positioning device developed by Prati. It enables reducing set-up times and improving slit quality with tighter tolerance levels, ensuring consistency thanks to the absence of variables and leads to longer knife-life.

Jim Freeman, operations manager at SpectraGraphics, said: ‘I am thrilled with the FastCut device. The new system is amazing. We have had four different operators over there working on it in the last two days, and it is simple, quick, and easy to operate.’
