Convergence Systems Limited (CSL) has been given the Gold Award by GS1 Hong Kong for its CS468-16 port reader and family of CS790 ultra-thin UHF antennas.

‘The creativity that went into the CS468-16 port reader and family of ultra-thin UHF antennas is highly impressive. We believe these innovative products could help industry players reap the enormous benefits of EPC/RFID and make item-level tracking in the retail store front a reality,’ said Anna Lin, chief executive officer of GS1 Hong Kong.

‘We have been asked many times to create an EPC compliant, item-level UHF RFID solution. Our CS468-16 port reader when combined with the CS790 ultra-thin antennas will give end users the highest performance and lowest total costs for item level solutions. We have on-going proof of concept pilots in retailing, document tracking, libraries, factory work stations, medical supply cabinets and expensive tool tracking. The CS468's expanded APIs also allow us to view many items on many antennas and on many readers simultaneously,’ said Jerry Garrett, managing director of Convergence Systems.

CSL's CS468 is designed to comply with UHF regulatory standards in USA/Canada, Europe, Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and Australia, among others. The design of the CS790 series antennas varies by country depending on requirements, and can be customized in length and type of encapsulation.
