Sato, a supplier of barcode printing, labeling and EPC/RFID products, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Nodos, a privately held corporation based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Nodos has been supplying automatic identification and data collection (AIDC) and point-of-sale (POS) products in the region since 1983.

Nodos has been distributing Sato’s products since 1993 and will continue to sell and service Sato’s products through an extensive channel of established partners. Nodos will merge its software and hardware applications with Sato’s worldwide operations to support the joint development of new products.

‘The partnership with Nodos over the past several years has been very successful for both companies,’ said Bob Linse, president of Sato America. ‘Sato’s presence in the region has been greatly expanded by working closely with the Nodos team. We are extremely pleased with this acquisition and welcome Nodos to the Sato team that will enhance our systems integration solutions to our customers.’
