Label converter implements internet order system
UK labeling manufacturer, Norprint Labelling Systems Ltd, has begun the roll out of its new 24-hour Internet Ordering System. This new system aims to make the process of repeat ordering and enquiring about new tray end products easier and more convenient for Norprint's customers.
This new service, currently only available to Norprint's tray end label and card customers, was initially trialed by the company with ten customers for three months, earlier this year. The response to the trial was so favorable that the company is now offering the service to all of its tray end customers, with 40 having already taken up the new service and a further 39 currently considering the switch.
'Around 80 per cent of products ordered from Norprint are repeat orders and this new system will offer our tray end product customers a flexible, secure and reliable method of carrying out such orders,' explains Matthew Neville, marketing operations manager at Norprint and architect of the new system.
'Whilst we still recognize the importance of meeting face-to-face with our clients, we believe that the new ordering system will offer an improved service level to all our existing tray end customers by providing them with an alternative method of ordering. The feedback from our trial allowed us to fine tune the system, for example - changing the ordering process to allow multiple orders to be made in each visit to the site, thus saving customers time.'
Following the success of the system to date, Norprint is already looking to extend the service to other areas of the business which receive similar, large volume repeat orders, such as thermal transfer ribbons and the company's extensive range of food and industrial labeling.
Customers now using the system gain access via a password gateway at Norprint's website, www.norprint.co.uk.
