Label Summit Asia to go ahead
The Labelexpo Global Series has announced that its Summit in Bangkok will go ahead, despite Tuesday’s military coup in Thailand.
Prospective exhibitors and delegates will be kept informed as to any developments. Label Summit Asia is due to take place on October 10-11, at the InterContinental Bangkok.
On Tuesday night a bloodless military coup, led by General Sonthi Boonyaratglin, displaced Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. The army intends to hand over power within two weeks, and coup leaders are considering candidates, said General Sonthi.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, said: ‘We have been advised the situation is stable, but will keep people informed over the next week. Our priority is to consider the safety of our exhibitors and delegates.’
