Labelexpo and Labels & Labeling magazine have opened a new office in China, the fastest growing market in the world.  The office, which will be located in the prime Xu Hui district of Shanghai, underpins Labelexpo and Labels & Labeling’s commitment to developing its Chinese business and will support its expansion drive in the region.
Labelexpo Asia 2005, taking place at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on 7-9 December 2005, is set to be over twice the size of the last event in 2003.  Exhibiters include Avery Dennison, Esko-Graphics, Gallus, H-Shine Printing Machine Company, HP Indigo, Kocher Beck, Labelmen, Mark Andy, Nilpeter, Omet, Orthotec Wan Am (Concorde Precision Technology), Purlux, Rotoflex, Rotometrics, Raflatac, Shanghai Auclean, and Yupo.
Labels & Labeling China was launched in 2004 Labels & Labeling with a Chinese circulation of over 5,000 plus distribution at all major exhibitions and at numerous supplier training centres. Labels & Labeling has also launched the Encyclopedia of Labels & Label Technology which has been a major success globally.  For Labelexpo Asia 2005, a Chinese version of the Encyclopedia will be available and demand for this is expected to be very high.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo and Labels & Labeling Managing Director, said, “Our new office in China is going to be very important for us.  With Labelexpo Asia, Labels and Labeling magazine, and the Chinese version of the Encyclopedia of Labels & Label Technology we offer a broad platform for suppliers and converters within the industry to connect and do business.  China is a unique place to do business and it is very important to understand and respect the Chinese way.  The label industry in China is still in its early stages, but as the Chinese printing sector matures (which it will do, as has happened in Europe and the USA), so will the niche Chinese label industry and we want to be a part of that growth.’
