Labelexpo Asia returns in November
The Labelexpo Global Series will be hosting Asia’s largest label industry show from 28-30 November 2007 in Shanghai. Labelexpo Asia is expected to welcome over 12,000 visitors to the Shanghai New International Center. This autumn’s show follows the success of Label Summit South China, which took place at the end of 2006 in Guangzhou. The summit, a high-level conference for printers and converters, attracted 455 attendees and provided a strong educational focus for Chinese label printers and converters, helping them to broaden their international outlook and business capabilities.
Visitors to this year’s Labelexpo Asia show will get the chance to see Asia’s largest gathering of label printing machinery, technologies and materials all under one roof. The show has grown by 35 per cent since the last event in 2005. In 2007, over 300 exhibitors will demonstrate their latest developments in RFID and smart technologies as well as launch new machinery and products.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, said: ‘We’re very excited to be back in China in November 2007 with Labelexpo Asia in Shanghai. Following the success of our conference in South China at the end of 2006, we’re delighted to be hosting another high-profile label industry event this year. Asia and China are both growing and thriving label markets. By 2010, Asia will represent a staggering 37% of the world’s label consumption so there are some huge commercial opportunities available here and it’s a very exciting time to be involved.’
Exhibitors at Labelexpo Asia include: Mark Andy, Avery Dennison, Gallus, Nilpeter, Omet, Shanghai Purlux, Orthotec Wan An, Exxon Mobil, HP, Gidue, UPM Raflatac, Rotometrics, Rotoflex, Lintec, Kodak, Beiren Group, Basch Group, Labelmen and DuPont, to name a few.
The last Labelexpo show in 2005 was a great success with thousands of visitors coming from over 70 countries with large delegations from China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
Jakob Landberg, sales director at Nilpeter, commented about the 2005 show: ‘Labelexpo Asia showed that we have found the strategic foot hole in Asia for Labelexpo. We had many quality visitors from the whole Asian region – and took home more orders than we could have wished for along with hundreds of leads.’
