An impressive range of digital presses will be demonstrated at Digital Print World, coming to Earls Court 2, London, from 17-19 October 2006. Eleven press manufacturers are exhibiting at the show, alongside important distributors and suppliers, ensuring that visitors have the opportunity to see the full gamut of digital printing technologies from high-speed mono copiers to high-end DI full color presses.

IIR is very pleased with the level of support from digital press manufacturers and suppliers. ‘DPW has attracted all the major brands in the industry; with Canon, Danwood and Kodak all expanding their presence substantially and Ricoh making its first appearance at the show,’ said Richard Gayle, event manager.

This year the accent is on maximizing performance and profitability of digital presses, with most companies demonstrating dedicated web-to-print and workflow automation software, producing a range of creative applications.

Adam Poole, marketing manager, Professional Solutions, Canon UK, said: ‘This year at Digital Print World we will be showcasing how our technologies can support all sectors within the industry. With products on show from large format printers and color presses to high volume black and white, Canon will be replicating real life print environments - commercial print, quick print/ on demand and design studio - in order to illustrate the possibilities and wide reach that our products have.’

Canon will show three 'print in action' zones including a wide range of products such as the new imagePRESS, the CLC 5151 color device, and the flagship imagePROGRAF iPF9000 large format printer. The MGi Meteor DP-40 multi-color digital color press is demonstrated by Graphic Arts Equipment while HP puts its flagship Indigo press 5000 through its paces, achieving outstanding performance and quality.

Kodak highlights two presses: the Nexpress 2500 digital production color press and the Kodak Versamark D-Series variable data press. Konica Minolta presents its bizhub PRO 1050 complete document production system with a range of optional finishing units. Screen demos the impressive Truepress 344 DI press, printing 7,000 A3 stunning color sheets an hour and Presstek showcases both the new Presstek 52DI landscape press and the Presstek 34DI portrait press. Finally, Xerox will be represented at the show by Xeretec and NCS.

Show organizer IIR Exhibitions has taken a highly interactive and educational approach to the development of Digital Print World. This has resulted in the steady expansion of an event that appeals not only to printers looking to invest, but also to marketing professionals and print buyers investigating the creative ideas and opportunities that only digital print enables. The show has trebled in size since its launch three years ago and a record number of visitors are again expected to visit this year.

The whole gamut of hardware, software and consumables for creative digital printing will be on show including MIS, workflow and design software, digital presses and printers, e-commerce solutions, large format inkjets, consumables and finishing equipment.
