Dalim Software and MGI partner at Labelexpo Europe

Dalim Software and MGI are demonstrating new, integrated production systems that serve a wide range of print and content users from label creation to digital printing during Labelexpo Europe 2017.

Dalim ES is a collaborative software

MGI digital presses and finishing systems will produce labels generated from Dalim ES, demonstrating how projects can progress from brand owners, through designers and, finally, into digital production.

Dalim ES is a collaborative software tool that follows label and packaging projects from concept through production. However, it is not solely dedicated to packaging: Dalim ES offers complete brand management, with approval cycles for all marketing efforts required for a product launch, including POS displays, marketing collateral and promotional items, print advertising campaigns, social media and video.

‘Dalim Software is demonstrating packaging and marketing solutions managed together. We hope to help identify and anticipate the growing needs of brands, retailers, and other content developers, while integrating our solutions into their traditional label – and marketing – supply chains,’ said Isabelle Billerey Rayel, Dalim Software’s business development director in Europe. ‘During Labelexpo Europe 2017, Dalim Software’s and MGI’s objective is to demonstrate how easy and efficient it is to manage and produce a growing number of label SKUs, including offering customization and design enhancements while assuring brand consistency within a high quality standard.’

For MGI, this partnership with Dalim Software is an opportunity to emphasize the added value of flexible labels and packaging thanks to digital technologies. ‘On the shelves, a product has only two seconds to catch consumers' attention and finally conquer them. Once in hand, the emotion it conveys impacts the buying decision. With our roll-to-roll printing technologies and complete inline digital finishing, third parties can place personalized products such as UV varnish, relief varnish and hot foil on the shelves. Numbering wine labels with hot foil, and printing holograms with variable data on tubes or flexible packaging is now possible. This opens up new horizons and leverages the attractiveness of labels, sleeves and flexible packaging on shelves,’ explained Victor Abergel, MGI’s vice president.
