The press with a web width of 520mm is fully servo driven and features a UV dryer and turnbar with delivery roller system. It can print on paper as well as labels and packaging at a speed of 300m/min.

The deal has been finalized by Vinsak, DG press’ sales representative in India and the Middle East.

Sharing his view on the market in the Middle East, Albert van Brink, account manager at DG press, said: ‘Packaging is growing at four to five percent globally and is estimated to be growing at about seven percent in the region. Printers are requesting for longer presses with more colors that can print on a range of products including paper, adhesive paper, board and packaging material.’

DG press has a total of 740 presses installed worldwide of which 120 print labels. Van Brink said that the company has about 70 presses installed in the Middle East.

Speaking on the Indian market, van Brink added that the company has received good response especially for Thallo web offset printing press used for flexible packaging and boards. ‘The Indian market is growing with demand for wide web machines with more colors, faster speed and less set-up time,’ he said.
