Doggett Labels has installed a new Rotamag 450 MXP label press. The merchant says the new press will provide access to the digital market as well as increasing its production.

The press manufactured by Rotary Engineering and designed for Doggett's in its distinctive purple color was installed in January, further improving the label offering to the commercial print market, according to the company.

Doggett Labels also says that improvements include a broader range of sheet sizes such as A4, CG, A3, and SRA3, as well as providing greater production flexibility.

Darren Schier, self-adhesive manager at Doggett Labels, said: ‘The addition of our new label press has given us greater flexibility and improved efficiencies in our production, but also broader access for our digital and commercial print customers by offering true metric sizing across our entire product range, notably A3 and SRA3.’

Peter Jessop, managing director of Rotary Engineering, says the label press is manufactured in Australia and provides Doggett Labels with local service and support. ‘The Rotamag 450 is solidly built, easy to operate and provides reliability and versatility. With the machine being so modular it can easily be modified, adapting to customer requirements.’

According to Rotary Engineering, the label press, which has been on the market for around 18 months, includes an easily removable plate cylinder, a swing away anilox and doctor blade system and ultra light anilox rollers.

The Rotamag 450 also features a two minute make ready time, an ink tray easily removed via a quick release handle and a 360 degree forward and backward registration by the push of a button.
