Dutch trade shop Volkers named as Bellissima DMS supplier

Aniken Graphics, a joint venture between Hamillroad Software, a UK-based pre-press software company, and Apex International, a manufacturer of anilox and metering products, has announced that Volkers, a flexo plate and sleeve maker based in the Netherlands, will commence Phase One sales with Bellissima Digitally Modulated Screening (DMS).

Nick Harvey, managing director of Aniken Graphics International, said: ‘Volkers were very keen to be involved in Phase One sales of Bellissima. The Volkers team met with us, and we were impressed by their proactive approach to supporting their customers throughout the packaging process. They demonstrated that they are constantly looking at ways to help their customers and them to stay ahead of the competition by investing in new technologies, Bellissima DMS being the latest example of this.’

Rick Volkers, managing director of Volkers, commented: ‘As a true family business, continuity is extremely important to us. With the world changing faster than before, we want to continue meeting the needs of our customers, stay open to new developments and continue progressing, these are the challenges we face.

‘We support our customers during the packaging process by controlling and simplifying it. We ensure the coordination between the design, the lithography, the plates, and the printing process. We do this by combining high-quality ICT-solutions with traditional graphic craftsmanship. This results in more efficient work, more control on the process, allowing us to reduce costs and the time to market. As part of our strategy, we look to new developments like Bellissima DMS, and innovative partners to achieve the best results for our customers.’

Volkers is among a handful of trade shops who are involved in the Phase One roll-out of Bellissima DMS.

‘To maximize everyone's success, Phase One sales of Bellissima DMS involve the use of Apex GTT aniloxes, and MacDermid or DuPont plates. We know that this proven technology solution works out of the box,’ Harvey concluded.
