EFI and Intec sign software agreement

The Fiery system will now be optionally bundled with the Intec range of digital color printers to offer users new and improved workflow capabilities with color and quality enhancements.

Intec printers are applicable for a wide range of printing scenarios, including short-run print production, packaging, heavy stock printing, greeting cards, envelope printing, banners and point of sale collateral. Intec’s printers can handle up to 600gsm/micron thick.

EFI said the Fiery front-end system streamlines the whole print production process through the use of default paper profiles and print verification. A modular software architecture allows users to add advanced color functionalities such as Color Verifier and Color Profiler, further expanding the user experience and meeting the needs for greater color control in the short-run print production marketplace.

Together, EFI and Intec said the Fiery system for Intec printing systems will enable users to quickly and easily achieve stunning, precise and predictable quality output on all manner of substrates from Intec printers. It is compatible with Mac OSX and Windows and is available from authorized Intec partners.
