Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA’s) upcoming Forum 2016 will look at how rapid advances in digital printing technologies are driving the flexographic industry into a new frontier.

Flexographic Technical Association’s (FTA’s) upcoming 2016 Forum will look at the emergence of hybrid printing

The technical session, titled ‘Enhancing Digital Print with Flexography’, will be chaired by Andy Knapp, of Flint Group Flexographic Products and John Hickey, from Domino Printing Sciences. Presentations will be provided by Mike Gore from Discount Labels and Sharon Zampogna of McCourt Label. The pair of presentations have been designed specifically for those who are looking for the speed, efficiency and repeatability of flexo, and the unique variability and flexibility offered by digital printing.

Taking place on Tuesday, March 8, the session will offer attendees a look at where digital print and flexo are today, and how combining these two technologies can result in a ‘truly amazing and profitable future’, according to the association.

‘Attendees will hear directly from a leading label printer who has successfully integrated digital solutions into its flexo operations and, as a result, is experiencing increased customer satisfaction and optimized plant efficiencies,’ said Knapp. ‘This session is a must-attend for any printer looking to add digital into its arsenal of printing capabilities.’

Hybrid printing featured heavily on the show floor of Labelexpo Europe 2015, and was covered by Mike Fairley in his impressions of the event.
