Mona Equipments expands in Europe

Mona Equipments, an Indian manufacturing company of doctor blades, has expanded in Europe with a sales office in Slovakia. The venture is in partnership with Kexun, a European company where four salesman work for Mona Equipments.

Pawan Singh, managing director at Mona Equipments said: 'I see a lot of scope in all of Europe. It was after attending Labelexpo Europe 2011 that we decided to expand in that market and finally opened an office last year.'

The company is currently supplying to 19 countries inlcuding Mexico, Brazil, UK, Africa and the Gulf region. The growth percentage of the company is 25 percent year-on-year with turnover of about 1.2 million USD (Rs 7 crore) in 2013-14. 'Approximately 670,000 USD (Rs 4 crore) was contributed by export from across the world and the European market contributed to 40 percent of the total turnover i.e. about 500,000 USD (Rs 3 crore),' Singh concluded.

In addition to doctor blades, Mona Equipments also manufactures core expanding shaft, differential shaft for slitting machines, safety chuck, core expanding chuck (shaftless and mounted), core cutter machine, anilox roller, chambered doctor blade system and many types of printing and packaging machinery spare parts.
