New agent plans Omet growth in the Middle East

Italian printing machinery manufacturer Omet has named Printech as its agent for the Middle East.

Printech Middle East is a provider of systems and equipment to the printing and packaging markets across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

Omet said the Middle East market is expected to grow rapidly in the next 10-15 years. In a strategic move, Printech has opened two regional offices in Saudi Arabia which, along with its headquarters in Dubai, act as central hubs for the whole region.

Printech supplies the Middle East market with Prati finishing equipment, Apex anilox rolls and sleeves, AV Flexologic plate mounting machines, BST inspection systems, API foils, Swedev doctor blades, and now Omet presses.

Printech’s objective is to make Omet one of the top three players in the Middle East region by training technical teams to provide prompt after-sales service to existing customers, and install at least one machine in each country in the Middle East in the next two years.

Jay Chawda, technical director at Printech Middle East, said: ‘We are very enthusiastic about our partnership with Omet and look forward to long-term mutual success.’
