Nuova Gidue records successful 2014

Nuova Gidue has reported sales up by nearly a fifth in 2014, performance which it attributed to ‘the constant trend of innovation, continuity of work orders and expansion into new territories’.

Turnover for Nuova Gidue in 2014 was 30.9 million EUR (34.1 million USD), with sales up 19 percent, and Federico d’Annunzio, Nuova Gidue chief executive officer (CEO), said: ‘Sales growth and profitability were supported by higher sales of digital automation technologies like Digital Flexo and the Excellence series.

‘The outlook for 2015 is still very positive confirming our trend towards market leadership in highly automated printing and converting solutions for the labels and packaging industry.’

Bobst has recently agreed a deal to acquire 65 percent of the shares in Nuova Gidue, with an option to acquire the rest of the business. d’Annunzio is to remain with the company as CEO and shareholder.
