Italian press manufacturer Nuova Gidue has hailed its presence at the recent Rosupack as a success, and said it hopes to continue the positivity into Labelexpo Europe 2013.

Rosupack is seen as the most popular Russian exhibition for the labels and packaging industries, and Nuova Gidue presented at the show alongside its Russian distribution partner, Gidue Rus.

This focused on its Combat MX line, and its entry-level Combat MX easy-to-go promotion, which consists of an MX press offered in a fixed configuration: 370mm wide, eight flexo printing units, eight UV lamps, a die-cutting station, a cold foil option and a full set of printing tools.

In June, Gidue installed several new Combat MX presses in printing plants across Russia. Among them were Kuko-Tamp and Kim Flex, and Checkart, which bought the press exhibited by Nuova Gidue during Rosupack.

It has also installed a Master M5 press for film printing at Gazete.

Elena Stepanova, the general director of Gidue Rus, said: ‘When we decided to take part in Rosupack, we couldn’t imagine such a great success and such a huge number of visitors to our booth.’

Evgeniya Chirkova , sales manager of Gidue Rus, added: ‘We want to thank all the customers for the great interest shown during Rosupack. [This has] involved both historical companies that already have experience with Nuova Gidue labels and packaging innovations, and new companies that have been met for the first time.

‘We hope that we will strengthen and carry on this achievement at Labelexpo.’

Cristina Toffolo, Nuova Gidue sales director, added: ‘The exhibition has had really great success. The actual Russian market demand in the labels and packaging industries keeps on growing strongly.

‘In this period the Russian market is really in need of new technologies for labels and sleeve printing, and Gidue seems to be just what they need. In the last few years, Gidue Rus has been able to organize a very prepared sales team and train a dedicated technical team to support the market for after-sales activity and printing education.’
