Tulsa, Oklahoma-based Odyssey Digital Printing has purchased a Xeikon 3300 for its short run label and custom packaging applications.

’Our main objective is to change the way customers view their printing experience, with convenience being the number one advantage,’ said John Roberds, president, Odyssey Digital Printing, ‘A key factor in Odyssey's growth has been the selection of Xeikon technology for our short run digital color applications. The unique features of the Xeikon technology enable us to meet the ever-changing requirements of our customers, be it a change in the format size of the finished application, substrates or quantities. Our customers can rely on us for delivering top-notch results.’

The Xeikon 3300, which was unveiled earlier this year at drupa 2008, is a digital color label press suited to short to medium runs, just-in-time and on-the-fly jobs. The 3300 boasts a variety of features including a top speed of 63 feet per minute and a duty cycle of 2,300,000 feet per month.

Odyssey has been a steadfast Xeikon customer and has utilized previous generations of both simplex and duplex Xeikon digital color presses.

‘We are thrilled with our continued partnership with Odyssey,’ said Michael V. Ring, VP of sales chief marketing officer of Xeikon's North American operations. ‘They are a prime example of a company that understands the value-proposition of digital color technology. Odyssey has carefully developed their applications and identified the technology solutions that most efficiently add value. We are happy to be a part of their continued success.’
