Sihl to increase prices
Sihl is increasing its prices by five percent, effective March 1, as it seeks to address increasing production costs.
The company cited continually increasing costs for paper, transportation, chemicals, energy, as well as personnel, as causing a substantial increase of production costs.
Despite continuous optimization of processes and costs, only a part of this development can be compensated and absorbed, the company noted. Customers and business partners will be informed individually about the details.
In a statement, Sihl explained: ‘[We] pride ourselves in offering products with the highest quality at fair prices. To be able to continue doing this in a sustainable manner, the company is now forced to increase prices.’
