Spring Coating Systems acquires Ergeca

Spring has announced the acquisition of 100 percent of the shares of Ergeca, a company specializing in video inspection systems for web printing applications.

Spring Coating Systems was created five years ago with a vision to provide printers and coaters with a competent partner for all technologies relating to the application of inks and coatings. Spring has formulation laboratories and manufacturing facilities in the US and Europe as well as partnerships with leading suppliers for anilox rolls and photopolymer printing plates.

As a recognized supplier of video systems that monitor print quality, Ergeca fully complements Spring’s strategy. ‘We see Ergeca as a natural fit and a means to tie together our product range in a coherent and effective package,’ commented Thomas Korchak, president of Spring Coating Systems.

Both Ergeca and Spring will be sharing stand 6H135 at Labelexpo Europe in Brussels this September.
