At the India Label Show 2008 in New Delhi, Stork Prints (booth A12) will show its full program of rotary screen printing solutions and narrow web flexo sleeves.

The company offers a range of modular printing units, based on its Rotary Screen Integration (RSI) technology, and dedicated to the needs of narrow web converters.  The RSI Compact has a repeat size range of 12” to 18”, and available widths of 10” and 13”. Working above the mainframe of the press, the unit is easily repositioned in the printing sequence with the help of an optional sliding rail, and reaches speeds of up to 328 fpm (100 m/min).

Stork Prints’ EasyFit lightweight ‘cassette’ format rotary screen printing modules are designed for modular hybrid presses, where different processes can be interchanged with each other at any stage in the printing sequence. Typically under 27kg, they are light enough to be set up manually, and therefore suited to situations where fast-changeovers are essential. Makeready times are as low as ten minutes. Adjustable support bearings allow fast repeat-size changeover within a restricted environment, without the need for recalibration.

Other rotary screen highlights at the Stork Prints stand include the re-engraveable RotaMesh screen for the RSI systems, and the re-usable RotaPlate screen for non-Stork systems. Both feature the ultra-stable electroformed pure-nickel construction, offering easy handling, high stability and resistance to breakage at relatively high speeds.

Stork Prints is supplying its RotaMesh screens specially for Nilpeter, which will be demonstrating the benefits of combination printing at its booth. Indian users of RotaMesh rotary screens can benefit from a fast screen supply and engraving service from Stork Prints subsidiary Stovec Industries Ltd, also based in Ahmedabad. Moreover, in the near future Stovec will also offer a complete pre-press engraving service for RotaPlate to optimally service Indian customers.

With an abundance of samples, Stork Prints will be highlighting the many high-value applications of rotary screen – from decorative raised varnishes to brand-protection labels.

Stork Prints will also showcase its narrow web flexo sleeves by AKL Flexo Technik, who has recently introduced its program of tough, hard- and soft-coated mounting sleeves for narrow-web applications. Ideal for the latest generation flexo-printing systems, the sleeves offer highly stable slippage-free printing, and assured total indicator readings (TIR) of within 15 m, even under extreme humidity and heat.
