It is claimed to be a high-speed high-resolution device designed for short-to-medium run process-color narrow web printing of labels, tags and documents. It can print on a variety of media including self-adhesive and pre-die cut labels.

SmartJet LP 112 can print process color (CMYKK) in accurate register at speeds of 12 inches per second in standard print mode (1,600x800 dpi) and 6 inches per second in premium-quality mode (1,600x1,600 dpi). A standard 8-inch diameter roll can be printed in less than nine minutes. The SmartJet LP 112 printer can print full color static and variable data at the same time, eliminating the conventional two-step label printing process.

The SmartJet printhead from Memjet is based on the waterfall, single-pass, thin-film ink technology. Each printhead packs 70,400 nozzles that continuously fire 700 million drops per second.

The SmartJet LP112 will be available in various configurations and finishing device options depending upon customer requirements. It will be backed by a nationwide team of experienced engineers specializing in inkjet printing devices.

TechNova will also showcase a broad range of software solutions that address packaging, security, MIS and VDP applications. The highlight for the software solutions will be the launch of the Phoenix : Imposition & Planning United software solution from Tilia Labs, made available in India by TechNova. The software is aimed at providing affordable solutions to packaging and wide format printers engaged in printing of cartons, labels, greeting cards and signage using various printing technologies. One of the key USPs of the Phoenix Software is its ability to create optimal layouts in seconds, but still enable users to drill down and control every aspect of the job.
