Trojanlabel’s growth rate of 60 percent has continued into its third year, where turnover of 50 million DKK (7.3 million USD) is reported, along with a profit margin of 10 percent.

Launched in 2013, the company has introduced three different digital printing products, the latest being an overprinting system that can be integrated to any host system, and which runs at speeds of up to 18m/min for 4-color printing on all materials with an absorbing surface, like most kinds of uncoated papers and cardboards, or materials that are pre-treated for aqueous inkjet printing.

Mikkel Wichmann, Trojanlabel CEO, has stated that the success of these digital printers can be largely attributed to closely managing product development and manufacturing processes to ensure a short time to market, and a focus on creating a product which is affordable to a broad range of users and industries.

‘We aim to develop a solution that is the answer to the challenges our customers face, and not a solution which comprises all the dazzling features that everybody could wish for,’ said Wichmann. ‘These would eventually complicate the solution and increase the cost of the final product. And we do that without compromising the quality which is essential to most of our customers.’

Trojanlabel has also established a production facility in China where printers are produced and assembled, although its design and innovation activities remain in Denmark.
