VPF invests in hotmelt coating line from Kroenert

VPF – Veredelungsgesellschaft mbH fr Papiere u. Folien & Co. KG – manufacturer of special self-adhesive materials and also service provider for coatings, recently ordered a hotmelt coating and lamination line from Maschinenfabrik Max Kroenert GmbH & Co. KG, Hamburg (Kroenert).

Thus, from the end of the year, VPF will also be able to offer the most recent and third adhesive technology, ‘hotmelts’. Besides the standard hotmelts (composition rubber adhesives), this facility is also able to process UV-linked hotmelts.

The facility offers a maximum coating width of 1,260mm and a maximum speed in the medium range. Thus it is optimally equipped to be a speciality provider with a tendency towards small or medium batch sizes and hence quite frequent changes of materials. The coating-head, which among other things also enables solutions with adhesive-free zones, is manufactured by Nordson, Lneburg.

We will then be able to offer the three essential adhesive technologies for extremely different applications irrespective of the desired print carrier and/or release-liner. This applies, as usual, with small minimum-quantities, quick and reliable,’ according to the management of VPF.
