Western Shield acquires DAC Labels

Western Shield Label Company has acquired DAC Labels & Graphic Specialties.

Providing a range of complementary flexographic label printing, the Dallas, Texas-based company supports Western Shield’s growth plans and accelerates entry into new and adjacent markets. This new location represents Western Shield’s third freestanding location.

‘DAC provides an exciting opportunity and continued growth for Western Shield,’ said Nizar Elias CEO of Western Shield. ‘This new location in the southwest will allow us to more efficiently serve many of our existing key customers while offering additional capabilities and services to DAC’s existing client base. This is a landmark moment for Western Shield and we couldn’t be more excited to welcome Harlan and the DAC team to the Western Shield family.’

Harlan Leeds, the owner of DAC Labels, also commented on the acquisition: ‘Western Shield’s acquisition of DAC paves the way for DAC to become one of the premier regional flexographic printers in the Southwest market. We’re thrilled to join forces with Nizar and his team and look forward to many successful years to come.’

Judy Vinson, VP of sales at DAC, added: ‘I can’t wait to begin offering all of the additional capabilities to our customers, this merger will allow DAC to truly become a one-stop shop for our existing clients printing needs.’
