Launch of covert UV authentication for security labels

A new range of full customizable tamper evident security seals has been released by Mercian Labels, UK, to combat the growing tide of pilfering in the supply chain.

Customizable features such as covert UV ink technology, unique numbering, holographic microembossing and forensic level ink taggants are now available in small batches without minimum runs, as a result of over two years of research and development by Mercian Labels.

‘We have had a great deal of interest in fully customizable products from our existing client base,’ said Mercian's managing director Dr Adrian Steele. ‘With a new range of low residue adhesives and high security box seals, we expect to continue developing more specialist products to meet unusual client requirements, particularly when applied to high value goods in transit’
