L&L exclusive - Litho Supplies to distribute Esko’s latest CDI 2120 in the UK

Esko will use Litho Supplies’ sales channel in the UK to distribute their Cyrel Digital Imager (CDI) 2120 and DeskPack software with the latest version of Esko Workflow software - SCOPE 3.  The recently introduced CDI 2120 as well as Scope 3 will be exhibited for the first time at Ipex 2006.

Paul Bates, UK sales manager at Esko said: ‘Litho Supplies will address the narrow web flexo label market with the CDI 2120. With our products and their sales force and customer base it seems the perfect partnership. Litho Supplies has experience in the narrow web label market and an extensive portfolio of Flexo products.  With seven regional offices they have a broad reach and ready market.  It is all very promising.’

The products were described by Esko: ‘DeskPack turns Adobe Illustrator CS and Adobe PhotoShop CS into fully-fledged design and prepress production tools. With DeskPack, users have simple, affordable and controllable access to dedicated packaging design tools.

‘The CDI Spark 2120 has a small footprint and is an entry-level priced CDI. It is a dedicated digital flexo solution for smaller narrow web/label trade shops and converters who want to be competitive. The CDI Spark 2120 uses plates up to 21” x 20” (533 x 508 mm) and can image a full size plate in 16 minutes at 2000 ppi.  It is capable of screen rulings up to 200 lpi with halftone imaging from 1-99%. The CDI Spark 2120 comes with EasyClamp, to securely hold down flexo plates of any thickness on the vacuum drum. The CDI Spark 2120 comes with the Adobe-certified PostScript 3 FlexRip 2120. It features the Adobe-certified PostScript/PDF input channel with Esko screens.’
