L&NW launches Label Symposium
Label & Narrow Web magazine will sponsor the L&NW Label Symposium, an educational program for narrow web converting professionals, in May 2006. The symposium is the first in a continuing series.
Described as ‘the event that enables you to make effective strategic business decisions for your converting company’, the initial conference will be held on May 15-16 in the Hyatt Regency Milwaukee in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA.
The symposium is produced with the support of the Tag & Label Manufacturers Institute.
‘The L&NW Symposium is a powerful one day conference and exhibition for label converters to meet and to discuss industry issues,’ said Kathleen Scully, publisher of the magazine. ‘The event will focus on the strategic business challenges that label manufacturers face.’
‘This educational event is different from others in the industry,’ noted editor Jack
Kenny. ‘It will focus more on pertinent business topics than on technology, and is designed for decision makers throughout the converting company. Most of the speakers are converters willing to share insights with their peers.’
The event begins with a welcome reception on the evening of May 15, followed on the 16th by a full day of educational sessions. The symposium also will feature a supplier tabletop area, at which select industry vendors will display materials and be available to network with attendees.
