Loparex expands joint venture operations in India

Loparex Group has invested in the expansion of its joint venture operation in India. The expansion program will increase Kaygee-Loparex's production capacity and enable better customer service in the domestic Indian market and other Sub-Continental, African and Middle Eastern markets.
Kaygee-Loparex India Pvt Ltd is a 50/50 joint venture between Loparex Group and the Godha family since 2001. The production unit is located in Silvassa, some 180 kilometers north of Mumbai. Kaygee-Loparex manufactures siliconized release paper and films for self-adhesive labelstock, holograms, double-sided tapes, medical products, packaging, and many other end-uses.
’We have decided to expand our production capacity in India in order to better satisfy our customers' needs in this region especially in thinner paper and film grades,’ explained Pentti Kallio, Loparex Group CEO. ‘This expansion program will include the installation of new production lines and auxiliary equipment. Also the plant premises in Silvassa will be expanded in order to accomodate the new machinery.’ The new equipment is planned to be operational by early 2009.
