Lscher enjoys IPEX success
At the close of IPEX 2006 in Birmingham, England, Lscher AG Switzerland reported record sales of their XPose! range of CtP imagers.
The company’s senior vice-president, Lars Janneryd, affirmed that the launch of the XPose! UV Conventional Computer-to-Conventional-Plate (CtCP) imager was a highlight of the show. ‘The new CtCP model made an instantaneous impact on the market. Thanks to the substantially lower prices of standard UV-conventional plates compared to those for thermal types printers recognized that the XPose! UV conventional could provide them with the means of coping with the low margins on their printed products,’ he declared.
Janneryd revealed that orders were taken on the stand for 19 XPose! imagers – thermal as well as UV conventional models. Other orders included two for FlexPose! direct laser-ablation systems employed in engraving plates, sleeves and cylinders for flexo printing and one for a JetPrint 3530 UV Very Large Format (3.05 x.3.5 meters) inkjet digital printer.
The sales were made mainly to customers in English-speaking countries as well as in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe, the Middle- and Far-East, and South America.
Company president Hans Lscher related that his staff had been very busy on the stand and expressed satisfaction with the interest aroused in visitors by the new products and the high quality of the people who came to the stand. ‘From the sales point of view it was our best IPEX ever,’ he enthused.
