M-Real’s Chromolux label papers now FSC certified

Chromolux, the range of cast-coated boards and label papers from M-Real, is now manufactured from wood holding FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) chain of custody certification. This means that printers, converters and others in the supply chain can now use the FSC logo on items that use Chromolux if they themselves hold FSC certificates.

Certification applies to the whole Chromolux range, including Chromolux single-sided, cast coated label papers, which come in a range of smooth or embossed finishes in white, pearl, alu, silver and metallic gold and silver. Their high bulk is said to give impressive embossing results, and they come in weights from 70-135 g/m2. Chromolux label papers have good running characteristics on the bottling line, and their optimally designed reverse side allows for precise label positioning.
