Asteria acquires Mercian Labels
Staffordshire, UK-based converter becomes the group's 41st acquisition.
Asteria Group has acquired Mercian Labels, a self-adhesive label converter based in Burntwood, Staffordshire, marking the group's 41st acquisition and expanding its UK label manufacturing presence.
Founded in 1969, Mercian Labels serves customers in the food, beverage and pharmaceutical sectors with flexographic and digital printing capabilities, including inkjet and embellishment options, alongside blank labels and variable data printing. The company also produces LabelLock tamper-evident security labels and tape, featuring micro text, in-register void messages, unique sub-surface printed codes and resistance to temperature and chemical attack.
Mercian holds AA+ BRCGS Packaging Materials certification and is certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards.
