Siegwerk acquires Hi-Tech Inks

Siegwerk has acquired Hi-Tech Inks, one of India’s leading manufacturers of flexographic and gravure printing inks. The acquisition aligns with Siegwerk’s growth strategy and reinforces its long-term commitment to India. With the transaction, the combined business now holds a 20 percent market share in India’s flexible packaging inks.
 
The integration of Hi-Tech Inks strengthens Siegwerk’s manufacturing footprint across India, adding production facilities in Bhiwadi, Rajasthan and Vapi, Gujarat, while expanding its portfolio with solvent- and water-based inks, metallic and special-effect inks, varnishes and overprint varnishes. The combined organization will employ approximately 1,700 people across the country, enhancing its ability to deliver innovation, scale and supply reliability to customers.

The acquisition is Siegwerk’s largest transaction since acquiring SICPA’s packaging inks business in 2005 and further strengthens the company’s position as a leading partner for packaging converters and brand owners. The combined business will focus on delivering future-ready, sustainable and high-performing products to support the evolving needs of the packaging industry.
 
Together, Siegwerk and Hi-Tech Inks aim to shape the next phase of growth in India’s printing inks and coatings market. With the acquisition now complete, Siegwerk will begin integrating operations, manufacturing capabilities and product portfolios across its expanded India network.
