Management buyout at Sleevit
Sleevit, part of the Turpins Packaging Systems Ltd, is embarking on a new image following the management buyout that was finalized last year.
The company specializes in manufacturing shrink sleeve systems, and was founded over 40 years ago.
The management buy out team consists of Eddie Woods, who has been at Turpins for 20 years, and Phil Carter, there for eight years. Both are experienced and well known within the packaging industry and had the total support of Mike Freeman who was retiring.
The organization works to the strengths of the two new owners, with Eddie Woods being responsible for operations and production, and Phil Carter for sales and marketing. Their aim is to expand the company using the skilled workforce in conjunction with their network of overseas partners and agents, to increase the turnover year by year. With this in mind they have already extended into additional partnerships with American company B & H; the Pago Group – to promote sleeving systems in Germany, Switzerland, Austria and Liechtenstein; and the new promotional tag applicator (Pro tag) from Reeltek of Australia.
Phil Carter says the strength of the new management team has enabled the company to increase sales in target areas, along with expansion into new related products.
They launched a new range of machines and displayed their new logo design for the first time to customers and visitors at the Total show in May at the NEC.
