Mark Andy surpasses half-century of Performance Series press sales

Mark Andy has sold its 60th Performance Series press, a line of machines launched at Labelexpo Europe 2009.
‘Converters are searching for ways to improve their productivity, reduce waste and streamline their workflow. With the addition of Performance Series machinery to their facility, they are realizing these goals,’ said Jeff Feltz, director of product management, Mark Andy.
The company reports that some customers have replaced multiple machines with a single Performance Series and that five globally successful converters have purchased multiple Performance Series presses, with commitments to future investments already planned.
The Performance Series press line consists of three models ranging in capability and cost. The P3 is at the introductory level. Driven by a precision engineered direct drive train, the P3 is designed specifically for conventional label production. Mark Andy has sold two of these presses since being introduced to the market at Labelexpo India in December 2010. The first was an investment for Color Label, a division of Mulligan Printing, based in St Louis, Missouri. A second P3 has been sold into South Africa.
The P5 model is a servo-driven machine, providing further machine control and productivity. Launched at Labelexpo Americas last September, the machine aims to show that flexo makes a strong argument against digital for short run label production.
The P7 is the most advanced model of the series, with dual servo controls and a fully-automated registration system.
