AWA publishes new release liner market report

AWA Alexander Watson Associates has published the AWA Release Liner Market Report 2026, covering the global release liner market across all geographical regions, substrates, market segments, trends and growth drivers in more than 500 pages of data and analysis.

The global release liner market grew 2 percent in 2025 as key markets, including pressure-sensitive labelstock, returned to more moderate demand patterns. AWA forecasts growth of 2.7 percent in 2026 as demand and supply balances stabilize.

Pressure-sensitive labelstock remains the largest segment with a 48 percent global market share, while other segments, including tapes, medical and electronics applications, continue to grow. The new edition also includes a utilization rate assessment.
