MDC zinc laser technology installation scheduled

The MDC Max Daetwyler AG, with corporate headquarters located in Bleienbach, Switzerland, has been chosen by 4Packaging GmbH of Dissen, Germany, to install a complete DLS automatic rotogravure cylinder production line. The plating equipment is scheduled to be delivered in the third quarter of 2007 and commercial production is scheduled to begin later this year.

4Packaging GmbH was founded seven years ago and has become a leader in rotogravure cylinder making for the packaging industry with state-of-the-art technology and one of the most modern production facilities in Europe. 4Packaging reportedly invested in DSL and zinc technology to achieve its production goal of ‘optimal quality at extreme speed’.

‘Worldwide, Daetwyler has 24 DLS-based automated production lines successfully in use today and continues to move forward as one of the most dedicated companies to the growth of the gravure industry,’ said the company in a statement.
