Mexico Summit draws leading experts and international exhibitors
Label Summit Latin America, taking place in Mexico City on 23-24 May 2006, has attracted leading label experts from Mexico and the rest of the world to speak at the two-day conference. The event, a high-level conference and tabletop exhibition, is expected to welcome around 700 visitors. Over 65 international suppliers will be represented at the exhibition running alongside the conference.
The conference program is packed with over 20 presentations from global and regional industry experts, who will be sharing their insights into the key factors shaping the future of the sector. Senior-level delegates are expected from Mexico, Latin America, North America and other major international label markets. Highlights on the conference agenda include a focus on regional trends, local case studies and partnerships, end-user requirements, film, digital printing and UV flexo printing - a growing business activity for the region’s industry.
Delegates will also hear the results of a new survey analyzing the purchasing intentions of converters in over 20 countries across Latin America. The survey findings will be presented to delegates by Latin American label specialist, Alfredor Domador from B2Bportales Inc.
Other prestigious speakers include: Mike Fairley, global label expert; Jeffery Arippol, president of Novelprint; and Luis Maria Garcia, president of the Argentinean Label Chamber. Leading Mexican converters will lead a panel session looking at end-user requirements from a converter’s perspective. Alexander Mercon, Latin America sales manager for HP Indigo, will highlight the latest developments and the extensive potential in digital printing while Eduard Pont, sales director at Omet Iberica, will focus on the challenges and opportunities facing Latin American converters with combination printing, including UV flexo printing technology.
The conference has a strong educational element, helping delegates to learn about regional and global trends. It also provides practical tips for label printers on how to improve and enhance their business with the latest technology available. Leading suppliers exhibiting their product innovations include: Avery Dennison, Gallus, Nilpeter, Mark Andy, HP, Omet, UPM Raflatac and MPS.
Roger Pellow, Labelexpo managing director, said: ‘The label market in Latin America is very buoyant and the region represents a tremendous opportunity for label converters. With ongoing signs of strong growth in the area, our summit continues to expand and to provide the ideal focal point for Mexican and regional printers to come together with international suppliers to do business and hear about the latest developments shaping the future of the market. We look forward to welcoming our speakers, delegates, visitors, and exhibitors to Mexico in May.’
In 2004, Label Summit Latin America in Mexico attracted over 650 visitors - the majority of which were senior industry representatives. The two-day conference provides the ideal opportunity for information sharing and networking for label converters, end-users and suppliers.
