MPS sells first press into Latin America at Labelexpo Americas
MPS has sold its first press into Latin America – its nine colors EF410 UV-flexo pressline, which was on display at the show, was bought by PubliGrafic International of Mexico.
Fernando Mena (president), Guillermo Mena (vice-president) and Jorge Mena (financial director) of PubliGrafic International are said to be delighted with their company’s largest ever investment.
MPS’ directors Eric Hoendervangers and Bert van den Brink believe that the UV-flexo press will help to boost PubliGrafic’s market position in the top-quality label and packaging sectors.
PubliGraphic International started in Mexico City in 1997. A label manufacturing company with 100 employees, it specializes in labels for the food market – a segment where quality demands have risen due to increased competition.
The company favored the MPS pressline brand due to the board’s conviction that ‘only MPS’ UV-flexo technology could improve print quality and throughput’, according to a statement. With the help of MPS’ partners - Distribuidora Grafica Novaro and ProFlexo International Inc. – PubliGrafic’s selection process was exercised precisely and with
an emphasis on the ability to match offset print quality..
Fernando Mena said: ‘We at PubliGrafic International are convinced that this MPS EF UV-flexo pressline will help us to improve our position in higher technology and quality markets. This new pressline is the keystone of our large innovation investment program, also comprising computer-to-flexoplate and digital proofing. We feel very confident now that MPS is our partner and we expect to achieve the best cost/performance-balance in a short time with our new MPS pressline.’
